Xicom Technologies - A Walk Through Website Development Phase of Project Maguto

Today we would like to inform you all about one of our recently completed project, Maguto.com. We recently completed the 1^st phase of the project. Sascha, the client, approached us with his requirements a few months back. The requirements were huge and some of the functionalities were very complex. As he was already working on the design of the website, with two designers from Hamburg, therefore we had to work on the development of the website.

According to Sascha, travelling with a professional guide is much more fun and informative than without one. He wanted to create a platform where people interested in travelling and tours could come in contact with tour guides. He wanted to bring together the travelers and the guides. Further, they can discuss their plans and make arrangements according to their requirements. The website features a very secure payment method where travelers could make the payment but it would have to be approved by the guide first. Once the concerned guide approves the payment, a booking for specified dates is displayed in the calendar on his profile. Guides can maintain their calendar, view their bookings in one glance and accept payments for future tours according to their schedule.

We started by converting the design of the website into HTML. Then we started working on the development plan of the website. This strategic plan was developed after long sessions of discussions with the client. Our Business Analysts and project managers made sure that the end product would be beneficial for the client. They also made sure that we and the client were working for a common goal. Customer satisfaction is the most important thing at Xicom and we leave no stone unturned in order to deliver it.

We finished the first module a few days ago and everything is perfect till now. The second module which includes traveler and guide reviews has also started and will be developed soon. The website supports multiple languages i.e. it is available in English and German. This is just because the client is from Germany therefore most of the business will be coming from that area. He just wants to make his people comfortable on his website. However, we have developed the website in such a way that more languages can be added easily.

The website is live now and is performing fine. The bookings are not yet enabled on the website as it is still in its initial stages. Currently the client is involved in marketing his business so that more and more users can benefit from the website once it gets completed.
